久々にスキャナを動かして古いスライドをデジタル化してみた。
これは1988年5月5日の岩国祭にて、体験航海で乗った艦艇の後ろについた来た第31航空隊のPS-1。1970-1980年代の岩国基地祭では一日に2-3回、当日先着順で「体験航海」が催行されていた。これに参加すると小型艇に乗って沖合まで行き、PS-1やUS-1の離着水を間近に見ることができた。また時には写真のように船に追従してくれたり並走したりして、様々なショットを撮ることができたのだ。良い時代でしたね。
なおこの写真は写真雑誌「カメラマン」1988年10月号フォトコンテストにて銅賞を受賞した作品です。Nikon FM2, Nikkor 300mmF4.5, 1/500sec., f=5.6+2/3, Kodachrome64.

In 1970s and 1980s, they often held experience -boat (or ship) -ride during their open day at JMSDF Iwakuni. When we rode the boat (or ship), we could see PS-1's ditching, boat chasing and take-off very closely. I got the Bronze (the third place) prize on the monthly photo-contest at one of the photo-magazine by this photo.
